TERMS & CONDITIONS
Terms and Conditions of Montessori Nannies
Effective Date: January 2025
1. Introduction
Montessori Nannies is a bespoke concierge service specializing in holistic education and Montessori-based childcare. We connect families with Montessori-trained nannies, tutors, and educational professionals for both permanent and temporary placements worldwide. Based in France, we operate with a personalized approach, focused on supporting children’s emotional and developmental needs through Montessori and Waldorf principles.
We are not an employment or recruitment agency, but a matching service designed to facilitate introductions between families and childcare professionals, ensuring a mindful, family-centered approach to education.
2. Our Philosophy
At Montessori Nannies, we believe in nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. Our mission is to help families create peaceful, developmentally enriching home environments where independence, curiosity, and lifelong learning can thrive. We are committed to providing personalized care that aligns with each family’s values and educational goals.
3. Scope of Service
Montessori Nannies offers personalized concierge services that connect families with carefully selected Montessori and holistic education professionals across Europe and internationally. We provide temporary (holiday, travel) and permanent nanny placements and offer guidance in creating Montessori-inspired environments at home.
4. Independent Relationships
We operate as a matching service, and as such, Montessori Nannies does not employ or represent any nanny, tutor, or family directly. All childcare professionals work independently under separate agreements with the families. Families are responsible for their own contracts, arrangements, and private agreements with the professionals.
5. Confidentiality
All personal information shared with Montessori Nannies is treated with the highest confidentiality. We will use this information solely for the purpose of providing our concierge matching service and will not disclose it to any third parties without the express permission of the individuals involved.
6. Fees & Payments

6.1Short-Term Placements
( Temporary or holiday nannies)
-
The service fee ranges from €150 to €300 per introduction, depending on the location.
-
For placements longer than 2 weeks, the final fee is 10% of the nanny’s net agreed payment for the temporary position.
Where the nanny’s compensation is quoted gross, the above rates will still apply.

6.2 Payment Options for 1-Year Placements
For 1-year placements, we offer the option to pay the 10% placement fee in four equal instalments, payable every four months.
At each 4-month interval, the continuation of the placement will be reviewed. If the family decides not to continue with the nanny, no further instalments will be due.

6.3 Trial Period
All 1-year placements include a 2-week trial period.
During this trial period, the 10% placement fee does not apply.
-
If the family decides not to proceed during the trial, there is no obligation to pay the 10% fee.
-
In this case, Montessori Nannies will offer to find a replacement nanny, where possible.
-

6.4 Payment Terms
All payments for our services must be settled in advance, according to the terms agreed at the time of booking. Montessori Nannies will not proceed with any introduction or placement until full payment has been received.

7. Liability Disclaimer
While Montessori Nannies takes great care in selecting and introducing qualified professionals, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Montessori Nannies is not liable for any private arrangements made directly between families and professionals, nor for the results of such agreements. Our role is strictly to facilitate the introduction, and we assume no responsibility for the actions or employment conditions after the placement.
8. Global Service
Operating from France, Montessori Nannies offers global concierge services for families seeking Montessori-inspired educational care in Europe, the USA, Dubai, and worldwide.
9. Modifications to Terms & Conditions
Montessori Nannies reserves the right to revise, update, or change these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any updates will be reflected on our website, and it is the responsibility of the client to review the Terms regularly. Continuing to use our services after any revisions signifies acceptance of the changes.
10. Client's Responsibilities
-
The client is responsible for informing Montessori Nannies in writing as soon as an offer of employment is accepted by a professional and must supply details of the start date, length of engagement, salary, and other terms.
-
The client must ensure that all professional childcare arrangements comply with applicable employment laws in their respective country and that appropriate contracts are established between the client and the professional.
-
The client agrees to treat all professional details and contact information with the utmost confidentiality.
11. Nanny's/Tutor's Responsibilities
-
Nannies, tutors, and other professionals introduced by Montessori Nannies agree to provide complete and truthful information when registering with our service, including details about their previous work, qualifications, and contactable references.
-
Professionals must refrain from providing their personal contact details directly to clients unless given express permission by Montessori Nannies.
-
All professionals must abide by Montessori Nannies’ confidentiality agreements and agree to inform Montessori Nannies immediately if they are contacted directly by the client.
12. Replacement and Refunds
-
In the event that a nanny/tutor leaves within the first 30 days of employment, Montessori Nannies will offer one free replacement based on the client's original request and profile.
-
No refund or replacement will be offered if the client changes the working conditions or employment terms after the placement has started, or if the professional leaves for reasons unrelated to Montessori Nannies.
13. Termination of Engagement
If either party wishes to terminate the engagement, they must notify Montessori Nannies in writing within 3 days of the termination. Any arrangements made directly between the client and professional must be reported promptly to avoid additional charges.
14. Fees and Payment Terms
-
Fees are determined based on the length of placement, the experience level of the professional, and the location of the engagement.
-
A non-refundable deposit will be required to confirm the booking and initiate the introduction process.
-
Full payment must be made before the placement begins, and Montessori Nannies will not release the professional until all fees are paid in full.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the French courts.
